Luke 5:32
“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Luke 5:32
As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; Romans 3:10
Jesus did not come to call those that are good, and lift up the righteous, because there aren't any. Not a single man can be called good or righteous. We are all flawed in many ways and in Luke 5:32, Jesus confirms who He came to save. All of us. Because there are none that are good. Remarkably, far too many will not hear Gods voice that is suppressed by this world. He wants each of us to seek after and build a relationship with Him, not because we deserve it, but because He made us, and He knew us before we were ever born. Coming to the realization of unworthiness is humbling, but their is freedom in understanding. If man can sin in his thoughts, our very thoughts separate us from God. He sacrificed and bore the weight of all the sins of man on the cross. Yours, mine and our neighbors. Jesus took it all and even endured a separation from His Father as the weight came crushing down upon Him.
