We Need Our Enemies

Have you ever wondered why we as Christians have enemies? God has a plan in every aspect of our lives, b in the times when we are persecuted. According to scripture, all Christians will endure suffering—and more often than not this takes the form of enemies. Often, they will be members of our own family. How does this accord with the Christian faith? Is it possible that God, in his divine sovereignty, has allowed enemies into our lives to further his purpose of sanctifying us?
